Pinguin mit seinem Jungen, das auf den Füssen des Vaters sitzt

One of Rob's prefered hobbies is drawing with pencil and a few colors and I think he is doing a pretty good job. I wanted to show you these latest drawings he made. When he showed me the picture above he explained to me that baby penguins usually are looked after by their fathers who carry them around while they sit on their feet.

Eins von Rob's liebsten Hobbies ist das Zeichnen mit Bleistift und wenigen Farben. Ich finde, er macht das wirklich gut. Ich möchte Euch heute ein paar seiner neuesten Bilder zeigen. Als er mir das Bild oben gezeigt hat, hat er mir dazu erklärt, dass Pinguine gerne von ihren Vätern herumgetragen werden, und zwar auf dessen Füssen. 

This one he made for my birthday the other day. A family of swallows. All the little ones are obviously hungry. He found this picture in one of our nature fotografy books and drew it from there. We have quite a few nests of swallows here in our new home and we see them flying around every day. We hear the little birds calling for food and they are slowly but surely leaving the nest and practicing their flying.

Diese Bild habe ich zum Geburtstag bekommen. Eine Schwalbenfamilie. Die kleinen Schwalben sind ganz offensichtlich hungrig. Rob hat das Bild in einem unserer Bildbände über Natur und Tiere gefunden und es von da abgemalt. Hier in unserem neuen Zuhause haben wir eine Menge Schwalbennester und wir sehen die Schwalben jeden Tag herumfliegen. Wir hören auch morgens immer die Kleinen, wie sie ihre Mutter rufen. Langsam aber sicher verlassen sie ihr Nest und üben das Fliegen.

Wonder what he will draw next time but I think chances are big that it will be an animal! :-)

Mal schauen, was er als nächstes malt. Ich denke, die Chancen stehen gut, dass es ein Tier wird. :-)
