In dieser Woche haben wir nicht viel besonderes gemacht, deshalb kann ich gar nicht viel erzählen. Doch der Muttertag letzte Woche war sehr schön. Die Kinder haben mir einmal diese schöne rote Rose geschenkt, die ich zwischen den Tannenzapfen auf dem Holztablett drapiert habe. Die Zapfen hatten wir an Ostern im Wald gesammelt. Außerdem habe ich noch eine Seife in Rosenform bekommen, die die Kinder auf dem Frühlingsfest entdeckt hatten. Wir waren am Abend alle zusammen in einem amerikanischen Steakhaus essen. Es gab sogar eine gute vegetarische Auswahl für die Kinder. Es ist einfach schön, zusammen Zeit zu verbringen. Egal, ob Muttertag ist oder nicht.
We did nothing really special this week so I have nothing much to tell. Mother's day on sunday was a very nice day though. The kids got these beautiful red roses for me and I put them inbetween these pinecones that we collected in the forest over easter. Also they gave me this rose shaped soap, I love soaps and this one smells like lavendar. In the evening the four of us went to an american steakhouse which was really nice, they had a good selection of vegetarian dishes for the kids. I just love to spend time with the kids, no matter if it's mother's day or any other day of the year.
So sah es in dem Steakhaus aus. Als wir kamen war es noch richtig leer, aber kurze Zeit später waren fast alle Tische belegt. Wir fanden es drin ziemlich gemütlich.
This is what the steakhouse looked like. When we first got there all the tables were still available but half an hour later almost every table was occupied. We found the restaurant very nice.

Wir haben in der Nähe ein neues Stück Wald gefunden, in dem nicht so viel los ist wie in dem Stadtwald in dem wir sonst spazieren gehen. Das fanden wir alle angenehm, der Wald sieht auch ganz anders aus, ein bisschen ursprünglicher. Selbst die Kinder haben gesagt sie können dort den Wald besser hören als wenn so viele Leute unterwegs sind.
We found a new forest to take walks in which is not as crowded as our city forest in which we usually go for walks. We all thought its very pleasant to just listen to the sounds of the forest while walking instead of constantly meeting people. This forest looks more originally which is nice.

In dieser Woche ist doch noch etwas passiert: Rob hat die Skateboardrampe im Skatepark ausprobiert, ist gefallen und wir mussten ins Krankenhaus. Zum Glück ist es nicht gebrochen aber ein dicker Gelenkerguss ist da. Deshalb hat er eine Gipsschiene bekommen, die er jetzt ein paar Wochen tragen muss. Sehr ärgerlich für ihn, denn jetzt fällt nicht nur skating aus sondern auch das Reiten.
Oh, one thing did happen this week: Rob tried to skate the ramp in the skatepark and he fell. We had to go to the hospital. Luckily nothing is broken but a lot of water inbetween the joints so he had to get this plaster bandage that he has to wear for a couple of weeks now. This is very annoying for him because now he is not only not able to skate but also can't do horseback riding.
