Kölner Dom und Plätzchen - Cologne cathedral and cookies

An einem der letzeten sonnigen Samstage haben wir einen Ausflug nach Köln zum Dom gemacht. Das Besondere ist nämlich, dass er seit Jahren mal wieder endlich ohne Gerüst zu bestaunen ist und das wollten wir uns nicht entgehen lassen. 

 

On a sunny saturday we took a trip to cologne to visit its church. The special thing about it is that it is without scaffold at the time which is not the usual because there is always work to do on it. It looks so nice without it. 

 

 

 

Ich habe nur zwei Fotos von außen gemacht. Drin war einfach viel zu viel los. Das schöne Wetter haben auch die Menschen aus den angrenzenden Nachbarländern gut genutzt, ich habe so viel niederländisch gehört, wie lange nicht mehr. :-)

 

I only took two pictures from the outside because inside there were so very many people that it was no fun to take any pictures. A lot of people from the netherlands took a visit as well, I haven't heard that much dutch in quite a while. 

 

 

 

 

Danach haben wir noch Aposteln besucht, wo gar nichts los war und man sich ganz in Ruhe aufhalten konnte. 

Afterwards we went to Aposteln, another church in the city of cologne, where it was all quiet, nobody was in there except for us. 

Aposteln mag ich besonders gern. 

I like this church very much. 

 

 

 

Zurück zu Hause haben wir diese neuen Nudelhölzer ausprobiert. Sie haben Muster und diese finden sich dann hoffentlichim Teig wieder. Ich fand diese Idee so toll, dass ich sie für usnere Weihnachtsbäckerei bestellt habe. 

 

Back at home we tried out these rolling pins for the first time. I ordered them after seeing them on the internet for the first time and I thought it would be a great ideo to make some cookies with them. 

 

 

 

 

Die Plätzchen sind sogar was geworden.

The cookies turned out good.

 

 

 

 

Zwei Plätzchendosen voll haben wir schon fertig.
